Fuel
pressure drops while cranking
• If fuel pressure
drops more than 5lbs during cranking, a hard start concern may occur.
• It is recommended
that the fuel pump be attached directly to the battery via a relay and
the relay should be mounted within twelve inches of the pump using the
correct gauge wire.
• Are the battery
and battery cables correctly sized?
• Are there any
voltage drops during the start procedure?
