Intermittent
Concerns including: Engine stutters or skips, ECU doesn’t follow
engine RPM, rough idle or dead spots and hesitation that can’t
be tuned out
After installation
excessive EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) can be encountered. It is
REQUIRED that the main power wires for the ignition box be attached directly
to the battery. Do not attach these wires to the starter lug, starter relays,
junction block, or the master disconnect switch.
• The magnetic pickup
wires from the distributor to the ignition box should not be bundled with
any other 12V wiring and should not be tied in a loop.
• Spark plug wires
must be spiral core type, NO solid wires.
• Either an MSD
or Mallory ignition box must be used.
•The ECU positive
and ground wires should be wired directly to the battery.
• The alternator
output should be attached directly to the battery.
